1. Montgomery’s Inn

Montgomery’s Inn, built around 1830, represents a wonderful piece of history in the heart of Etobicoke. Once the home of Irish immigrant Thomas Montgomery and his wife, it’s now a museum open daily to visitors from near and far. Aside from being a permanent museum, the inn also holds lots of special events, so be sure to check the calendar to see what’s happening.
2. Centennial Park

While there a ton of parks to explore in Etobicoke, Centennial Park is one of the biggest and has plenty to see and do. In the winter there’s a small ski hill as well as an outdoor and indoor rink. There is also a huge conservatory that is open year-round housing everything from tropical plants to seasonal blooms. You’ll also find playgrounds, picnic areas, baseball diamonds, and even a BMX park.
3. Fantasy Fair

Fantasy Fair is an amusement centre located inside Woodbine Shopping Centre, but don’t let its location fool you. This place is a lot bigger than you might think! With over a dozen rides and attractions, and spaces for parties and events, this place will keep the kids (and adults) entertained all day. 4. Woodbine Racetrack

Just down the road from the shopping centre is the famous Woodbine Racetrack. This massive venue hosts live racing every weekend and most Wednesdays. There are also lots of special events to look out for, including the Queen’s Plate Festival and the Breeder’s Stakes. The offerings here don’t just stop at racing. There are also plenty of great dining options and a huge array of slots and betting tables.
5. 401 Mini-Indy

Whether you’re holding a birthday party, planning a date, or just want a day of fun, 401 Mini-Indy could be just the ticket. Aside from a large, indoor race track, this venue also offers glow-in-the-dark mini golf and a cannonball war game.
6. Black Creek Pioneer Village

Sitting just on the outskirts of Etobicoke, Black Creek Pioneer Village is a wonderful place to visit to learn lots while having a ton of fun. Escape the modern world and see the inner workings of an Ontario village as it might have been over 200 years ago. You can explore buildings and gardens as well as get a taste of village life, including discovery stations and hands-on activities. 7. Black Oak Brewery

With so many amazing craft beers available in Ontario, it’s no surprise that a few of them are right on our doorstep. Black Oak Brewery has been crafting some fine, refreshing brews since 1999, and moved to their current location in Etobicoke (from Oakville) in 2008. They offer weekly tours and tastings, and often hold fun parties to showcase their new releases. Another great local brewery that is open for special events is Great Lakes Brewery, so be sure to check out their website too.
8. Old Mill

If you need a little pampering, then Old Mill is the spot! This beautiful hotel, restaurant, and spa in the heart of Etobicoke oozes luxury and is the perfect place to relax and be spoilt. They offer room packages, lots of special events, and weekend evening entertainment, so there’s always something to make it an extra worthwhile trip.
9. Toronto Public Libraries

Toronto’s public libraries are known for their welcoming atmosphere and extensive selection of learning and social programs, and the ones in Etobicoke are no exception. Whether you’re looking for adult language classes or fun kids’ workshops, there’s always something happening. What’s more, many of the programs are drop-in with no registration required, and most are free!
10. High Park

Just on the outskirts of Etobicoke towards downtown Toronto is the vast and magnificent High Park. With ponds, playgrounds, a restaurant, a zoo, and more, it’s the perfect place for enjoying the outdoors at any time of year. There are tons of events held at the park throughout the seasons, so be sure to check their website regularly.
