1. TD Tree Days West Deane Park

Where: West Deane Park, 376 Martin Grove Rd, Etobicoke, ON M9B 4L9
TD Tree Days is TD’s flagship volunteer and urban greening program, and has already facilitated the planting 0f more than 285,000 trees! This awesome venture enables communities to help in rebuilding their own green spaces by planting new trees. Multiple events are happening in various locations this year and this Sunday it’s time for West Deane Park to get some fresh new leaves!
2. Welcome Back Corn Roast at Horner Avenue Seniors Centre

Where: Horner Avenue Seniors Centre, 320 Horner Ave, Etobicoke, ON M8W 1Z3
Horner Avenue Seniors Centre is celebrating the fall season with a welcome back corn roast! There’ll be plenty of food and refreshments as well as live entertainment.
3. 3rd Annual Great Lakes Pig Roast

Where: Great Lakes Brewery, 30 Queen Elizabeth Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 1L8
Cost: $5 admission (doesn’t include food or drink)
This Saturday marks the end of Toronto Beer Week, and Great Lakes Brewery is inviting you to celebrate. Join them for their 3rd annual pig roast and grab some delicious food while sampling equally tasty brews. You can also enjoy awesome entertainment from Fool Hearts and play a little bocce ball while you’re at it.
4. Master and Commander: A Weekend in Nelson’s Royal Navy

Where: Montgomery’s Inn, 4709 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON M9A 1A8
Cost: Varies per session
This event offers history lovers a unique immersive experience that transports you to the year 1800 on a Royal Navy warship. Several locations will be visited throughout the weekend, including Montgomery’s Inn, Fort York, and Campbell House Museum. Learn about life on the ship, sing sea chanties, and eat historical meals while socializing with other enthusiasts!
5. Big Rock Brewery Open House

Big Rock Brewery is also marking the end of a beer-filled week of fun with their open house event. Here you can take a brewery tour, including meeting with the brewmaster, as well as enjoy beer samples and live music.
6. Invictus Games Cycling Training in High Park

The build-up has been huge and now the Invictus Games are almost upon us. Events are happening all over Toronto, including cycling events at High Park. This Friday, you can catch various teams training in the park. Check out the website for full schedules.
7. Downsview Park Orchard Party

It’s that wonderful time of year when the apples are ready for picking and the smell of wood fires fills the air. Get into the fall spirit this Sunday at the Downsview Park orchard party. There’ll be orchard tours, a forest nature walk, a campfire, and more.
8. The Music Expo at the Rockpile

Music lovers, this one’s for you. The Music Expo is a trade show geared toward music fans of all ages. There’ll be hourly talks from a range of music experts, including keynote speaker Alan Cross. After the expo, there’ll also be performances from bands including Lawless Sons and Tomahawk Love.
9. Gadget Fun for Adults at Brentwood Library

The summer saw lots of library robot workshops for kids, but what about the adults? If you felt you missed out, then you can check out the Gadget Fun for Adults workshop happening this Friday. Indulge your inner child and try driving a robot and investigating how circuits work.
10. Music at Old Mill

Every weekend, you can expect to see some top-notch performers at Old Mill, but this weekend they’re offering up a special treat! Dan Lauzon and James Farrauto do a great job of bringing Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin back to the stage. The Frank and Dean Show, also dubbed ‘Legends of Las Vegas,’ will transport you the golden days of entertainment for what will no doubt be a memorable evening.
