Bring the kids along for a treat at Franklin Horner Community Centre this Saturday. Join Mr and Mrs Claus for a delicious breakfast of pancakes, juice, hot drinks, and Timbits. There’ll also be a bouncy castle, face painting, and henna. If you’re able to, bring along some non-perishable food items for the food drive.
2. It’s a Wonderful Christmas

Do you love a great Christmas show? This one’s set to be spectacular. A combination of “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Carol”, this hilarious musical comedy uncovers the true meaning of Christmas. With Broadway style dancing and singing, it offers fun for the whole family.
3. Vinyl Record, Comics & Collectibles Show

From audio equipment to comic books, you’re sure to find something unique. There will also be new products available, including record storage and cleaning accessories and audio gear.
4. Craftastic Winter Market

The Jean Augustine Centre for Young Women’s Empowerment continues to do incredible work within our community. You can support their great cause and do a little Christmas shopping at their Craftastic Winter Market this Saturday. There’ll be tons of beautiful organic bath and body products available, including body butters, cupcake candles, and bath bombs!
5. Buy a Christmas Tree

Now that we’re well into December, if you haven’t already got your Christmas tree up, you might be wondering where to get one. A fresh tree can bring so much of the Christmas spirit into a home, from shopping for the perfect one to enjoying the smell of pine all through December. There are lots of spots to get a Christmas tree in Etobicoke; Sheridan Nurseries has a great selection, as does Plant World and IKEA. You can also usually find popup shops in your local grocery store parking lot.

7. 30 Years of Great Lakes Beer: Documentary Debut

There’s so much happening every weekend throughout December at Black Creek Pioneer Village. Last week, we mentioned the Family Christmas Weekends, and starting this weekend, kids can enjoy Storytime with Santa. If you stick around for the evening, you can see Christmas by Lamplight. Definitely something for everyone.
10. Winter Campfire Program at Downsview Park
