This year may be slowly coming to an end, but that certainly doesn’t mean there is a lack of interesting events you can attend. There’s always plenty of fun to be had in our local area. In this post, we reveal ten fun things to do in Etobicoke in November 2018. Let’s jump in!

1. Dads Who Donate Beer Festival

When: Saturday, November 9th, 8pm – 11:30pm

Where: Big Rock Brewery, 1589 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 5W9

Cost: $40 donation

Want to drink beer while helping out a charity? This is the event for you. After giving a $40 donation, you can enjoy samples from Big Rock Brewery, Black Oak, Steamwhistle, and more local breweries. The proceeds are handed over to various charities, which in the past have included the George Hull Centre and the Out of the Cold program.

2. Hometown Fair at Franklin Horner Community Centre

When: Saturday, November 17th, 9am – 2pm

Where: 432 Horner Avenue, Toronto ON, M8W 2B2

If you are interested in all sorts of different hand-made items, then visiting the Hometown Fair at Franklin Horner Community Centre is an absolute must. Handcrafted woodworking items, homemade crafts, knitted wear… you name it. There’s definitely something for everyone.

3. 22nd Annual ESA Craft Fair & Silent Auction

When: Saturday, November 17th, 10am – 3pm

Where: 675 Royal York Road, Toronto ON, M8Y 2T1

Cost: $1 admission, kids under 10 free

This isn’t your typical, everyday craft fair. There will be more than 85 vendors with rather unique handmade crafts, not to mention a bake sale and food court. When it comes to the silent auction, more than 100 items will be featured, including art, tickets, jewelry, and much more.

4. Toussaint: Story and Song of the Dark Months

When: Sunday, November 18th, 5pm – 9:30pm

Where: 4709 Dundas St. W, Toronto On, M9A 1A8

Cost: $27 adults, $22 students, youth, seniors, Bretton dinner $18

Are you a fan of dark, eerie stories? If so, you’ll definitely want to check out a bewitching night of storytelling and music from the Celtic tradition of Breton Folklore at Montgomery’s Inn Museum. You’ll be sitting by the campfire listening to the eerie tales of northern coastal France followed by the haunting music. If you want to a simple Bretton meal to your experience, then make sure to book it in advance.

5. St. George’s Board Game Café

When: Friday, November 23rd, 6:30pm – 8:30pm

Where: 4600 Dundas St. W, Toronto, Ontario M9A 1A5

You probably enjoy playing board games with your family and friends every once in a while. Then why not head to St. George’s On the Hill Anglican Church and enjoy some of the most popular board games, including children’s games, strategy games, party games, and team games? If you have a favorite game of your own, don’t hesitate to bring it along.

6. Neilson Park Creative Centre Fall 2018 Handmade Sale

Where: 56 Neilson Dr., Toronto ON, M9C 1V7

What better way to start the holiday shopping season than to attend the Fall 2019 Handmade Sale at Neilson Park Creative Centre. You’ll find all sorts of unique and artistic items which make for the perfect holiday gifts. What’s even more interesting is that you’ll be buying these gifts directly from local artists and artisans.

7. Art of the Park Walking Tour

Where: Benches across from Grenadier Restaurant, 200 Parkside Dr, Toronto, ON M6R 2Z3

The weather might be getting cooler, but if you’re dressed for it, it’s a wonderful time of year to enjoy the outdoors and nature. High Park holds regular walking tours on Sundays and this one will explore some of the interesting works of art in the park.

8. Tango, Jazz and more at St-George’s On the Hill Anglican Church

When: Saturday, November 24th, 7pm – 8:30pm

Where: 4600 Dundas St. W Toronto, ON M9A 1A5

Cost: $25

The combination of tango and jazz seems like the very definition of fun. Well, all that and more will be waiting for you at St. George’s On the Hill Anglican Church. For just $25 you’ll get to listen the wonderful works of Nino Rota and Astor Piazzolla as well as Angela Park, Julian Milkis, and Andreas Weber.

9. Humber Valley United Church Annual Dinner and Talent Show

Where: 76 Anglesey Blvd, Toronto ON, M9A 3C1

Cost: Adults: $10 Children 12 and under: $5

Head over to Humber Valley United Church, enjoy dinner, and watch or take part in the annual Talent Show featuring Girl Pow-R, an all girl pop rock band. They sing original music, cover songs, and play instruments, as well as dance.

10. The Process of Writing at Humber Bay Library

Where: Humber Bay Library, 200 Park Lawn Road, Toronto ON, M8Y 3J1

Whether you’re an aspiring writer or you are just doing it as a hobby, you wouldn’t want to miss this 90-minute workshop with an esteemed author Anubha Mehta at Humber Bay Library. You’ll learn everything there is to know about the writing process, from generating ideas to the actual writing and plot development.
