While some you might be heading off for a March Break getaway, no doubt lots of you will be staying local where is there still plenty to get up to. Check out our list of fun things to do in Etobicoke this March Break below! We’ve also got some local camp ideas if you’re looking for some last minute signups or ideas for next year!

1. Daily Family Events at Cloverdale Mall

When: Monday, March 13th – Friday, March 17th, 11:30am and 1:30pm

Where: Cloverdale Mall, 250 The East Mall, Etobicoke, ON M9B 3Y8

A dance party, a magic show, and an action-packed variety show! These are just some of the fun and family-friendly events happening during March Break at Cloverdale Mall. If you have an animal-lover in the family there is also a reptile presentation and even safari animals. Check out the website to see which events are happening on which days and head on down for an 11:30am or 1:30pm show.

2. Events at Your Local Library

When: Most Days

Where: Brentwood, Mimico Centennial, and Humber Bay libraries

There are special events running at most local libraries throughout March Break. At Mimico Centennial there’s Lego, Bluetooth controlled robots, and even a circus. You’ll find mad science at Humber Bay and Brentwood has everything from creepy creatures to spoken word and gaming.

3. Free Entry for Kids at Black Creek Pioneer Village

When: Monday, March 13th – Friday, March 17th

Where: Black Creek Pioneer Village, 1000 Murray Ross Pkwy, North York, ON M3J 2P3

It’s just outside Etobicoke, but it’s not too far, and it’s a great deal! Kids under 14 are free all week (including the final Saturday and Sunday) at Black Creek Pioneer Village. What’s more, they have lots of special events going on including a Sherlock Holmes mystery, maple syrup adventures, and horse drawn wagon rides.

4. Half Price at Paintball City

Where: Paintball City, 35 Stoffel Drive, Suite B, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6A8

Another great March Break deal can be found at Paintball City where it’s half price madness every weekday. This urban combat style venue comprises two-story buildings with lots of hiding spots and passage ways, providing a thrilling adventure for older kids and adults alike.

5. Fun March Break Events at Woodbine Fantasy Fair

Where: Woodbine Shopping Centre & Fantasy Fair, 500 Rexdale Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6K5

There are special events happening almost every day during March Break at Woodbine Fantasy Fair. There’s free kids crafts, an exotic animal show, an interactive bubble show, and more. That’s not to mention the array of rides and other fun activities that are mainstays of the fair. With Monday and Tuesday free for seniors, there is lots of fun to be had for every age!

6. March Break Movies at Cineplex Queensway

Where: Cineplex Queensway, 1025 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 6C7

With movie prices getting higher these days, it can be pretty pricey to take the whole family. March Break is the perfect opportunity to head down to Cineplex and watch a family favorite for just $2.99. With four movies a day and prices so low, you don’t need to stop at one, and can even spend the day!

7. Public Skate at MasterCard Centre

When: Monday, March 13th – Friday, March 17th, 12:15pm – 1:45pm

Where: MasterCard Centre, 400 Kipling Ave, Etobicoke, ON M8V 3L1

There should be enough of a chill for outdoor skating but if you’d rather be indoors the MasterCard Centre has a special March Break schedule that includes a daily public skate around midday.

8. Drop-in Skate

Where: Your local rink

You never know if March Break will involve wrapping up in hats and scarves or donning shorts and T-shirts. It looks like this one is set to see some pretty cold days so skating is still on the cards. Some rinks are open at different times than usual over March Break so be sure to check online or call before heading out.

9. Drop-in Swim

Where: Your local pool

If you’d rather be making a splash, there are tons of great pools in the area. Whether you want to do a lane swim or leisure swim, most have time slots to cater to all. Again, the times might be different over March Break, so be sure to check the updated drop-in schedules before heading out.

10. Bowlerama West

Bowlerama offers regular specials throughout the week and is always a fun day or evening out for the whole family. Aside from getting to smash some pins, there’s also food, drinks, arcade games, and more.

11. High Park Zoo

If the weather warms up a little, it’s always fun to head towards downtown and pay a visit to High Park Zoo. The animals are always happy to see visitors year round and there are often adorable new additions to the furry families. You can make a day of it and explore the park, including the super fun Jamie Bell playground which will definitely tire the kids out!

12. Montgomery’s Inn Farmers Market

When: Wednesday, March 15th, 2pm – 6pm

Where: Montgomery’s Inn, 4709 Dundas St W, Etobicoke, ON M9A 1A8

The Montgomery’s Inn farmers market runs year round but March Break gives you the opportunity to take the kids along! You can buy direct from farmers and local artisans and you’ll find organic fruits, vegetables, baked goods, and more.
