What is Virtual Staging in Real Estate?

Virtual staging is the creation of online 3-D images and tours that show the potential of the home staged with modern furniture, accessories and minor renovations.

How is virtual staging different from traditional home staging?

Virtual staging is an online representation of what your home could look like if it was renovated and staged. The online 3-D photos will show cosmetic renovations including new flooring, new window coverings and lighting, new kitchens and bathrooms. Once renovated staging furniture and accessories are added.

Traditional staging includes decluttering, cleaning re-arranging furniture adding or removing furniture and adding accessories to make your home stand out. It does not include the renovations done in virtual staging.

When does it make sense to select virtual staging?

Virtual Staging is a great option for homes that have good bones but are in original condition. These homes often have flooring, kitchens and bathrooms that are a throwback to the 1960s. Buyers have difficulty envisioning what you could do with the home with just small renovations. Virtual staging shows them the real potential.

During these challenging COVID -19 times, we’ve paused our traditional staging. Virtual staging is also a great option to consider when traditional staging is not an option.
